Product description

If your windshield hazes over in the rain, oncoming headlights feel especially glaring at night, or the wipers still leave a white streak, it's usually oil film and mineral deposits built up on the outer glass. This uses non-rare-earth (cerium-free), low-hardness self-breaking abrasive particles in a neutral base instead of acid etching. Use it on the windshield, side windows, rear glass and other exterior glass to remove stubborn oil film, long-term mineral buildup, and acid-rain residue. It cleans at a steady, moderate rate, so go over stubborn spots again instead of pressing harder.

How to use it

Pre-treatment: Wash the glass surface as usual, then dry it off.
Check for contamination: Check the glass for iron fallout. If there's any, clean it off with iron remover first, rinse, dry, and check again.
If the glass is heavily contaminated (overspray, tree sap, iron fallout), we recommend going over it with the Volcanic Clay Bar first.
Remove particles: If you can still feel any grit, use a clay bar with clay lubricant to remove it, then rinse and dry. Make sure the glass is completely free of particles before you start removing oil film and mineral deposits.
Application: Keep the glass wet and apply this product in a circular motion, by hand or with a polisher.
Let it sit for about 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with water.
For stubborn buildup, go over it again — don't rush and press harder.
Check your work: Wipe the glass with a clean, grease-free, slightly damp towel. If the oil film is gone, it won't leave a mark no matter how you wipe it.

Things to know

Keep the glass wet the whole time. Never wipe or buff it dry.
Do not scrub hard or force it.
Before applying, make sure there are no hard particles of any kind on the glass (iron fallout, grit). Only then start removing oil film and mineral deposits.
Glass scratched by grit can't be saved by polishing — the whole pane has to be replaced. Don't skip the three check-and-clean steps above.
For stubborn buildup, go over it again. Don't force it by pressing harder.
This product is meant for exterior car glass only. We don't have compatibility data for interior glass, window tint, seals, or other nearby trim, so avoid those areas or test on a small hidden spot first.
No ingredient list or Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is provided for this product, and the pH isn't listed. Wear gloves, keep the area ventilated, and avoid prolonged skin contact while using it.
If it splashes into your eyes, flush immediately with plenty of water and see a doctor if you feel discomfort.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high heat, out of reach of children and pets. Take it out of the car after use — don't leave it inside for long periods.

Oil film is a greasy layer that forms on glass from asphalt residue, silicone wax, and exhaust — it blurs your view in the rain and causes bad glare when facing oncoming light. How to tell: if oncoming headlights look unusually glaring at night, or the wipers leave a streak in the rain, you've got oil film.

Big difference. A regular glass cleaner only removes surface dust and water marks — it does nothing for oil film. This oil-film remover has abrasive particles that physically cut through the greasy layer, so the results aren't comparable.

It depends on where you drive. Generally every 3–6 months. In Taiwan, cars that spend a lot of time on highways and in tunnels pick up more exhaust and grease, so every 2–3 months works better for those. Following up with a coating extends the protection.
